Help, i loaded Norton and now I can’t open explorer. I need it for my business access!?
I’ve tried everything, disabled norton, resarted, reloaded explorer…..I need help!
Two questions. 1. Are you talking about Internet Explorer or Explorer? Explorer is what drives you windows. 2. What are the symptoms? Any error messages?
Try a few things.
Click start, run, type "iexplore -extoff" and click OK. This lets you attempt to start IE in safe mode, without any add-ons. If it comes up, your problem is that Norton has an issue with one of your add-ons.
Again, go to Start, Run, but now type "eventvwr" and click OK. This is an error log that you can get more information on any problems the system detects.
Third, go into Norton and look at it’s log to see what it has to say for itself.
Forth, after you’ve recovered, download one of the other free internet browsers, like Firefox, such that you have another way to get in. I think you will find that they have some features that you will like better than IE. z

Norton should not have messed up internet explorer. Try running it in safe mode or re-installing it through another browser like firefox (that’s why it’s always good to have 2 browsers
)
